This sounds good! Thanks Rick.
So green! We have a foot of snow.
Upcoming speaker John Wentworth will be our guest this Thurs 3/25 @ Noon via Zoom. Contact us for the link!
The future of the Measure 11 maximum minimum prison sentence law will undoubtedly be one of the topics for Thursday's speaker, Clackamas County District Attorney John Wentworth. A career prosecutor for 26 years, Wentworth took office at the beginning of this year. He recently co-wrote an opinion piece for The Oregonian advocating to keep Measure 11 intact. He has also been in the news by joining many leaders in calling for the resignation of embattled Clackamas County Commissioner Mark Shull.
Wentworth says he is "focused on promoting public safety through fair and equal justice and bringing solutions to complex issues using data-driven and common-sense approaches."
Fun fact: John is a graduate of Clackamas High School.

Celebrating International Women's Day the best way possible - by making a difference for pregnant women a world away! Many thanks to the individuals & groups who have made possible major improvements to a maternity hospital in The Gambia, Africa.
In the past few years major remodels including modernization, lighting, new bathroom facilities, and now solar power have been completed! Deliveries at night no longer need to be done by the light of a cell phone when the power goes out.
Thank you especially to Ed Gronke, Bob Johnson, Ralph Carter, Abba Sanneh, and Slobodan Petrovic who persevered through unimaginable circumstances to make this a reality. Kudos to you, and the entire Rotary Club of Clackamas along with the Brikhama Society brikamasociety.org/our-partners/ for supporting women in need.
